Our mission is to develop efficient and effective methodologies for the analysis and optimization of large-scale stochastic systems. Research topics include but are not limited to

2025/11/13 Juyoung Ha received the President’s Award of the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) at the 2025 Industry–Academia Project Challenge for the Meerkat (AIOps platform MELLERIKAT) project with LG Electronics.
2025/11/07 Dayoung Kim received the Excellence Award for her master's thesis entitled "Optimizing White Noise for Stability and Strategic Performance Enhancement of LLM-RAG Systems" at the 2025 21st Master’s Thesis Competition, hosted by Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers (KIIE)
2025/10/02 Donghyun Lee and Prof. Ko's work entitled "Learning-driven berth allocation optimization with port authority behavior" was accepted for publication in IEEE Access.
2025/09/04 Prof. Ko's collaboration work with Prof. Jin Xu (Huazhong Univ. of Science and Technology) entitled "Overlap approximation schemes in time-varying many-server queues" was accepted for publication in Annals of Operations Research.
2025/11/13 하주영 석사과정이 LG전자와 수행한 미어캣(AIOps 플랫폼 MELLERIKAT 활용) 산학과제를 통해 2025년 산학프로젝트 챌린지에서 산업기술진흥원 원장상을 수상함
2025/11/07 김다영 석사과정이 석사학위 논문 "Optimizing White Noise for Stability and Strategic Performance Enhancement of LLM-RAG Systems"으로 2025 제 21회 대한산업공학회 석사논문 경진대회에서 우수상을 수상함
2025/10/02 이동현 박사과정과 고영명 교수가 연구한 "Learning-driven berth allocation optimization with port authority behavior" 논문이 IEEE Access 저널에 게재 승인됨
2025/09/04 고영명 교수, 화중과기대 Jin Xu 교수와 공동연구한 "Overlap approximation schemes in time-varying many-server queues" 논문이 경영과학 분야 우수 학술지인 Annals of Operations Research 저널(Q1, IF 4.5, 21.2%)에 게재 승인됨
